I am back with two weeks’ worth of updates, starting with Tuesday, September 21st. Vice President Harris met with Jamie Smith, “a mom of four children under 15 in Washington D.C. With one child with disabilities and two parents with recent health issues, Smith finds herself “sandwiched,” caring for both her children and her parents while juggling her career” per this Parents magazine story.

We have three ensembles to share from the last week, beginning with the Vice President’s appearance at a private fundraiser for former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe. That event was Tuesday, September 14. Below (L to R), DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, Mr. McAuliffe, and Vice President Harris.

I have combined the last two weeks into one post because Vice President Harris had few public engagements the last week of August. She wrapped up the month on August 31 with a Capitol Hill appearance where she presided over a Senate session.
I can’t tell what she was wearing from the videos; there are no photos available that I can license. It looks like the Vice President may have been wearing some of her black separates by Altuzarra, but that is just a guess.

Last week there were fewer public engagements with Vice President Harris than we are used to seeing as she prepped for her Singapore/Vietnam trip and the administration dealt with the Afghanistan crisis. We saw a glimpse of Vice President Harris in a White House photo released Sunday, August 15; the photo shows the President, Vice President, and national security team as they discuss Afghanistan.

Vice President Harris did not have any public engagements on Monday, August 9. Tuesday, August 10, Vice President Harris visited the Unity Health Cares Brentwood Health Center in Washington, DC.
The Vice President delivered remarks about the administration’s efforts to lower health care costs.
She also announced that more than 2.5 million people have signed up for health care during the special enrollment period.
Tuesday afternoon, she was at the Capitol to preside during the Senate’s vote on the bipartisan infrastructure bill. You can hear the Vice President announce the results in this video clip.
Below, the Vice President, President, and others as they watched coverage of the bill’s passage.
The Vice President then joined the President for remarks about the massive infrastructure bill.
Ms. Harris was in familiar separates by Altuzarra, her Kenton Jacket & Serge Pants. It looked like she was also wearing her Luxe Charmeuse Reversible Perla Blouse ($328) by Lafayette 148 New York.
Her accessories included her Manolo Blahnik Newcio pumps (below), double-strand pearl necklace by Irene Neuwirth, and unidentified mabé pearl earrings.
The Vice President did not have any public engagements on Wednesday, August 11. On the 12th, she hosted a meeting with business leaders to talk about child care.
From the New York Times:
Attendees included Mark Breitbard, chief executive of the Global Gap Brand; Jenna Johnson, the president of Patagonia; Josh Silverman, the chief executive of Etsy; Alison Whritenour, the chief executive of Seventh Generation; and Hami Ulukaya, the chief executive of the yogurt brand Chobani, among others.
The White House selected the executives because of their companies’ policies on child care and paid leave, a senior administration official said. In the meeting, Ms. Harris emphasized the importance of child care as both a personal and a business matter.
Vice President Harris was in a khaki suit I haven’t yet identified, and her L’Agence Cory Tee ($85), Irene Neuwirth necklace, and unidentified mabé pearl earrings.
Friday, August 13, the Vice President took part in an Instagram live session.
She spoke about voting rights with Storm Reid, an activist, producer, and actress, and Sarah Audelo, Executive Director of the Alliance for Youth Action.
The Vice President was in a blue blazer and white top, but I wasn’t able to tell if it was the Prabal Gurung blue suit or another style. (There were no photos released from the Instagram broadcast.) You can watch the conversation here.

I am back with a post combining the last two weeks; the Vice President only had two public engagements the first week of July so I thought it made more sense to combine the weeks into one post.
We begin with Thursday, July 8, when Vice President Harris visited her alma mater, Howard University.
