I am back with a post combining the last two weeks; the Vice President only had two public engagements the first week of July so I thought it made more sense to combine the weeks into one post.
We begin with Thursday, July 8, when Vice President Harris visited her alma mater, Howard University.

She was there to talk about voting rights and launch the DNCs “I Will Vote” initiative.

The university noted Ms. Harris, “rallied an audience at Howard University in a powerful defense of voting rights and the need to ensure that all American voices are heard in the political process.”

She also took part in a meeting with President Biden and civil rights leaders.

More from The Washington Post:
The meeting at the White House, which came at Biden’s request, took place several hours after Vice President Harris announced that the Democratic National Committee was making a $25 million infusion into efforts to expand voting.
“This is the fight of our nation’s lifetime,” Harris said during remarks on voting rights, referring to new state laws and attempts to pass two bills in Congress.
That evening Vice President Harris and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff hosted a staff party and barbecue at their residence.

Ms. Harris was in familiar pieces, her Altuzarra Kenton Jacket ($1795) and Serge Pants ($795) atop the Luxe Charmeuse Reversible Perla Blouse ($328) by Lafayette 148 New York. It looked like she had on her patent Newcio heels by Manolo Blahnik.

Friday, July 9, the Vice President addressed the National Association of Counties annual conference.

She wore the cream double crepe suit and ivory silk charmeuse camisole by Prabal Gurung that was first noted at a joint session of Congress in April 2021; it has been worn several times since that event.

Ms. Harris noted this was the first conference she had spoken at in person as Vice President.

Friday night, we saw a new suit via an interview Ms. Harris did with Soledad O’Brien as part of a BET primetime special, “State of Our Union: Vice President Kamala Harris.”
I don’t have much more to offer about the suit other than noting the notch lapels, and four self-covered buttons seen at the sleeve hem. (You will see it again later in the post.) Beneath the suit, I think the Vice President may have worn her ivory Luxe Charmeuse Reversible Perla Blouse ($328) by Lafayette 148 New York.

Monday, July 12, the Vice President made the trip to Detroit that was canceled the preceding week. Among those greeting Ms. Harris at the airport, Rep. Brenda Lawrence (D-MI), Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist.

First on the Vice President’s agenda, a voting rights panel discussion. Below, the VP and Michigan’s Secretary of State, Jocelyn Benson at that session.

This was followed by a visit to a vaccine mobilization event at the TCF Center, the city’s convention hall.

More from the Detroit Free Press:
“I’ve been here many times, so I say this with knowledge: Detroit really is the definition of resilience,” she said.
Harris noted that TCF Center is the place where a field hospital opened during the state’s first COVID-19 surge, and it’s also where the city launched a mass drive-up vaccine clinic in mid-January — among the biggest and first of its kind in the state — inoculating thousands of residents and their “good neighbors” who volunteered to drive them to the convention center.

Ms. Harris also attended a fundraiser for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
She wore a grey suit that remains unidentified, atop what appears to be the light blue Prabal Gurung charmeuse top that is part of a custom ensemble created for her by the label.

Here is a better look at the blue outfit posted on Prabal Gurung’s Instagram.

The top is shown in this shot of the Vice President aboard Air Force Two as she serves birthday cupcakes to Kate Childs Graham (L), director of speechwriting, and Rohini Kosoglu (R), domestic policy advisor.

Ms. Harris also wore her Irene Neuwirth labradorite necklace and earrings for the day’s events instead of the double strand of pearls we frequently see.

On Tuesday, the 13th, Ms. Harris met with Texas legislators.

More from Sanjana Karanth’s HuffPo story:
At least 60 Texas Democrats ― the majority from the state House of Representatives ― left their home state on Monday as a way to deny the legislative quorum necessary to pass Republican bills that would restrict access to voting for people of color, the elderly, disabled people, military members, low-income residents and rural Texans.

The HuffPo article notes that during the meeting, “Harris told the Texas Democrats that they were courageous for their decision to fight against voter suppression and that the Biden administration wants Congress to pass voting rights legislation.”
Vice President Harris was in an ensemble I don’t remember seeing before, a brown/olive pantsuit with three flap pockets, four buttons at the sleeve hem, and sharply peaked lapels. She may have also worn her Manolo Blahnik Lisa 70mm heels; it is tough to tell from the available photos.

We saw a necklace not worn often, the large golden pearls.

More from this Florida Politics story :
The Vice President’s team contacted national disability organizations to assemble advocates with a focus on voting rights.
Much of the conversation revolved around handicap ramps and transportation issues. Basic issues from street curbs outside polling places and access to public transit also arose. That also pointed out the intersectionality between voting access, American Disabilities Act compliance and many other matters challenging individuals.
The Vice President also spent time with actress/singer/songwriter Olivia Rodrigo.

Ms. Rodrigo was at the White House to meet with President Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci for a vaccination campaign on social media.

The teen star shot several spots promoting vaccines. Her tweed Chanel separates coordinated perfectly with the Vice President’s soft pink pantsuit. With the exception of the BET interview mentioned above, I don’t recall seeing the suit before. The jacket features three large buttons, angled flap pockets, a chest pocket, notch lapels, and four buttons at the cuff. The trousers have a straight-leg silhouette. UPDATE: The suit is a custom design by Sergio Hudson for the Vice President
Thursday, July 15, the Vice President welcomed Germany’s Chancellor, Angela Merkel. Below, Ms. Harris awaiting the chancellor’s arrival.

Vice President Harris hosted Ms. Merkel for a working breakfast at her Naval Observatory residence.

Another view.

The Vice President also joined President Biden for an event marking the expanded Child Tax Credit. The Vice President delivered remarks at the event and met families benefiting from the tax credit.

The Vice President wore separates by Altuzarra, her Kenton Jacket & Zeke Trouser.

Beneath the jacket, it looked like Ms. Harris wore her Lafayette 148 New York Luxe Charmeuse Reversible Perla Blouse ($328). She also wore what appeared to be her Manolo Blahnik BB 105 heels.

On Friday, July 16, Vice President Harris participated in a listening session on voting rights with Black women leaders.

More from April Ryan’s story in The Grio:
Friday afternoon, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and staffers listened to what was happening on the ground from Black women voting rights activists who represented their respective groups in overflow numbers at the wooden conference table of the Roosevelt Room.
President Biden had dipped into the meeting which was hosted by Vice President Harris in the Roosevelt Room, and included a guest list of some of the most notable Black women’s groups in the voting rights arena.

Vice President Harris was in her Prabal Gurung double crepe suit. You have a better look at it in this photo of the Vice President wishing staffer Opal Vadhan a happy birthday.

The hand-tailored suit features a single-button closure, flap pockets, double back vent, and notched lapels.

Most days Ms. Harris accessorized with her Irene Neuwirth double-strand pearl necklace and UFO mabé earrings. A single-strand version of the necklace is shown below with a couple of photos of the earrings taken at previous events.

The exceptions were the labradorite necklace and earrings worn in Detroit on the 12th and the oversized pearls seen on the 13th.
