This week could be called a Prabal Gurung trifecta, as the Vice President wore the designer’s creations each of the three days she had public engagements. We begin with Tuesday, July 20, when the Vice President welcomed King Abdullah II of Jordan and his son, Crown Prince Al Hussein, for a working breakfast at her residence.
This offers a good look at the back of the suit, including the double vents on the jacket and the trousers.
Later that day, the Vice President joined the President in welcoming the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the White House for a ceremony celebrating their Super Bowl championship. Here you see Ms. Harris with punter Bradley Pinion (L) and tackle Donovan Smith (R).
It certainly looked like everyone had a good time.
The Vice President also took part in a Cabinet meeting marking the administration’s 6 month anniversary.
Another view.
Vice President Harris brought back the cornflower blue Prabal Gurung suit that was first worn in late June.
Beneath the jacket, she wore her ‘Perla’ Silk Charmeuse top by Lafayette 148 New York.
It looked like Ms. Harris wore her ‘Newcio’ pumps by Manolo Blahnik.
Wednesday, the 21st, the Vice President met with election workers.
More from The Independent’s story:
Vice President Kamala Harris hosted a group of election administrators and poll workers from across the US for a “frank discussion about the work, the responsibility, the commitment and challenges” facing election workers.
“You’re the people who make elections happen,” the vice president said on 21 July. “We dare not take the work of poll workers for granted.”
Ms. Harris was also on Capitol Hill Wednesday for a Senate vote.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe Vice President wore her hand-tailored cream suit by Prabal Gurung that was first seen at the joint address to Congress in late April. I think she was wearing her Cory Tee ($85) by L’Agence beneath the jacket.
Thursday, July 22, Vice President Harris chaired a discussion with Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) stakeholders and immigrant rights advocates.
More from KNXV’s coverage:
Vice President Kamala Harris met with DACA recipients this morning about the future of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program after a federal judge in Texas ruled on Friday that the program is ”illegal.”
DACA is a program that allows undocumented immigrants brought as children to live and work in the U.S. temporarily, it was created by former President Barack Obama in 2012.
The Vice President also joined the President at a ceremony marking the signing of the Crime Victims Fund Act of 2021, a “bipartisan bill that aims to provide assistance for crime victims, including counseling expenses, medical bills, and lost wages,” per this CNN story.
Ms. Harris was in another bespoke Prabal Gurung suit, the lavender version first noted in late June. The single-button jacket has flap pockets, darts for shaping, and notched lapels.
Beneath the jacket, Ms. Harris was in a dark grey charmeuse top that is unidentified.
I believe she wore her Manolo Blahnik ‘Lisa’ Almond Toe pumps (sold out).
Below, the Vice President wearing the three suits at other engagements.
Friday, the 23rd, there were no public events scheduled for Ms. Harris. However, a video was released with the Vice President and Second Gentleman cheering on the US Olympic Team. It looks like it may have been taped on Tuesday when Ms. Harris was wearing the same ensemble as that seen in the video.
Throughout the week, Ms. Harris wore her Irene Neuwirth double-strand pearl necklace and UFO mabé earrings. A single-strand version of the necklace is shown below, with a couple of photos of the earrings taken at previous events.
