Monday, November 15, Vice President Harris started the week with meetings in her office and delivering remarks at the signing of the administration’s Bipartisan Infrastructure bill. Below, the Vice President and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria in her West Wing office on Monday.
Then it was time for the signing of the bill.
A sizable number of guests were on hand to witness the signing—more from The Washington Post’s coverage.
Members of Congress, governors, mayors, state and local elected officials, as well as labor leaders, business leaders and other stakeholders, sat before a dais that included 30 key players from both sides of the aisle and representing diverse communities across America.A sizable
The Vice President was in a jacket we saw last week that is very similar to Altuzarra’s ‘Acacia’ blazer, with matching trousers. Beneath the jacket, it looked like Ms. Harris was in the Cecile matte silk blouse by Lafayette 148 New York.
Tuesday, the 16th, the Vice President took part in the White House Tribal Nations Summit.
In a Tweet, the Vice President said she spoke about the “Build Back Better Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will make major investments in clean water, transportation, childcare and housing in Tribal communities.”
Ms. Harris wore what looked like her black Dolce and Gabbana blazer and pants and an unidentified burgundy or maroon top.
Thursday, the 18th, was a busy day. Vice President Harris joined the president and others for the signing of “three bipartisan bills that expand benefits for the nations law enforcement officers and first responders along with the communities they serve,” per this PBS story.
The Vice President then met with Mexico’s President, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The Mexican President was in town for the first ‘North American Leaders’ Summit’ with President Biden and Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. He also met separately with Vice President Harris.
Next on the agenda, a visit with the Canadian Prime Minister.
The Vice President also had a separate meeting with Mr. Trudeau. She said they discussed “global challenges, migration, and ways we can further deepen our economic relations.”
Vice President Harris wore more Altuzarra separates, the brand’s Kenton Jacket & either the Serge or Zeke Trouser, all in navy blue. It also appeared she had on her Luxe Charmeuse Reversible Perla Blouse ($328) by Lafayette 148 New York.
Friday, November 19, the Vice President traveled to Ohio with Labor Secretary Marty Walsh.
They visited the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 189.
More from The Columbus Dispatch.
Vice President Kamala Harris visited Columbus on Friday to sell the newly-signed infrastructure deal to Ohioans as Democrats consider a separate spending plan that would fund climate efforts and social services.
In an interview with USA TODAY Network Ohio, Harris said the infrastructure law will help fund apprenticeship programs and repair damaged roads like Interstates 70 and 71.
“People have to drive over potholes or roads or bridges that are in disrepair,” she said. “That means you’re getting a flat tire. You’re getting something stuck in your tire. It’s expensive to replace tires. Insurance doesn’t do that. And the reality of it is that it slows down the ability of people to get to work, to get to their kids.”
Friday was a historic day as the Vice President became the first woman to hold US presidential powers. President Biden transferred those powers to her for about 90 minutes while he underwent a routine colonoscopy.
It appeared Ms. Harris wore her black Dolce and Gabbana separates and a brown top that remains unidentified.
Also, last week, photos were released of the Vice President and Second Gentleman as they affixed a Mezuzah to the door frame of the Vice Presidential residence at the Naval Observatory.
More from The Atlanta Jewish Times.
History was made as a mezuzah, loaned by Atlanta’s oldest Jewish congregation, was affixed to the Naval Observatory House.
This is the first time that a mezuzah — which contains a tiny scroll with texts from the Book of Deuteronomy, denoting the house as a sacred space — has hung at an American executive residence. The injunction to post a mezuzah — “inscribe them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates” — is found in Deuteronomy 6:9.
“It was a small private ceremony, a really personal moment,” Berg said, including just Harris, Emhoff, and Emhoff’s parents, Barbara and Michael Emhoff, who had not seen their son throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. “They had never seen him in this role in person,” as the Second Gentleman. “That’s why the service was so emotional. The Jewish parents standing there, shepping naches for their son, the Second Gentleman. It was such a beautiful moment,” Berg said, using the Yiddish phrase for “deriving pride.”
Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff shared the photos on social media, saying, “For us, and for everyone, Thanksgiving is a time for reflection on the past year. One of my favorite memories was when our family visited and together we hung a mezuzah on the front door of the Vice President’s Residence.”
