In the late stages of the 2024 presidential campaign, Vice President Harris added several ensembles by Gabriela Hearst to her wardrobe. The Uruguayan-born, California-based label is headed by its eponymous founder, Gabriela Hearst.
For a 60 Minutes interview airing October 7th, 2024, the Vice President chose separates by the designer.
VP Harris says since Donald Trump canceled his interview with 60 Minutes, voters should watch his rallies instead. “You're going to hear conversations that are about himself and all of his personal grievances,” she said. “What you will not hear is anything about you.” pic.twitter.com/fdESLU5vKu

The Vice President wore what looks the brand’s Leiva Blazer ($2290), a single-breasted style in wool with a slim fit. The Leiva is a basic piece for the California-based brand, and it is offered in multiple colors and fabrics. It showcases broad peaked lapels, angled flap pockets, and four self-covered buttons at the cuff with a single front button.
Ms. Harris paired the jacket with the Rhein Pant ($1190). Like the jacket, this design is 100% wool, with a front zipper, and a flare at the ankle.
The Vice President wore the same styles in a color called chocolate silk for Vogue’s digital October cover. The look was styled by Leslie Fremar, and the photographs were shot by Annie Leibovitz.
Vice President Harris also chose separates by Gabriela Hearst for October appearances on The View and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Here is a look at the Vice President in the pieces.
The Vice President aired the grey blazer with jeans for an Atlanta campaign rally in late October.
Ms. Harris also appeared to wear Gabriela Hearst designs for a rally in Bucks County, Pennsylvania in mid-October 2024.
The brand makes perfect sense for the Vice President: the company is women-owned and based in California, and it offers tailored designs that work well with the Vice President’s style aesthetic.
