Vice President Harris chose a design by Prabal Gurung for the President’s address to a joint session of Congress in April 2021.
It was a historic event; the first time in US history the President has delivered an address while standing in front of two women.
The hand-tailored double crepe suit was a cream color, paired with an ivory silk charmeuse camisole, per the designer. The jacket featured a two-button front closure, flap pockets, notched lapels, and a double back vent. The ensemble was made in New York City, at the Prabal Gurung Atelier.
