Altazurra Grey Separates

The Senator is featured on the cover of Elle’s November 2020 issue, with an interview piece by Ashley C. Ford inside the magazine. Ms. Harris wore a suit by the designer for her acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention.

She is wearing separates by Altazurra, a New York-based brand helmed by Joseph Altuzarra. I believe she is in a version of the Eileen Jacket and the Luther trouser. How does the designer feel about seeing her in his designs on the Elle cover? He posted on social media, “This is one of those pinch-me moments I’ll never forget.”

The Eileen Jacket ($1690) is crafted of a charcoal grey stretch wool fabric (97% virgin wool/3% Elastane) with exaggerated notched lapels and a concealed button-front closure. The piece has structured shoulders, long sleeves, and two flap front pockets. The Luther High-Rise Flared Pant ($756) is made of the same fabric, with a high-rise silhouette, flared leg, and partial lining.
