Monday, May 3, Vice President Harris was in Washington, where she conducted a ceremonial swearing-in ceremony for new NASA Administrator Senator Bill Nelson.
Here you see (from left to right) former NASA Administrator Charles Bolden, Bill Nelson Jr., son of Bill Nelson, Nan Ellen Nelson, daughter of Nelson, former Senator Bill Nelson, his wife, Grace Nelson, and Vice President Harris.
Ms. Harris also swore in Samantha Power, the new USAID Administrator.
In this photo you see (from left) Ms. Power’s stepfather Edmund Bourke; her children, Declan and Rían; her husband, bestselling author and legal scholar, Cass Sunstein; Vice President Harris.
The Vice President was in her Altuzarra separates, the Fenice Jacket and Serge Trousers. She paired the pieces with a new (to us) top or sweater, a soft green crewneck style that is not yet identified.
Tuesday, May 4, Vice President Harris delivered remarks to the 51st Annual Washington Conference on the Americas, hosted by the Department of State and the Council of the Americas.

She toured the wind turbine research and sustainable energy labs at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee campus. Here is a quick video of her arriving at the lab.
The proposed legislation would invest heavily in projects like the clean energy lab.
Another view.
Vice President Harris gaggled with the traveling media before heading back to Washington.
She was in favorite pieces, her Kenton jacket and Zeke trousers by Altuzarra, along with her Cory Tee ($85) by L’Agence. Below, another angle.
You may have noticed the vivid blue Goyard bag at the lower center of the photo. That may belong to the Vice President; she has been seen carrying Goyard totes for years. It looks like the brand’s Saint Louis Tote in the Sky Blue colorway.
Wednesday, the 5th, Vice President Harris visited Rhode Island to continue promoting the administration’s infrastructure/investment proposal. Below, arriving at T.F. Green Airport in Warwick.
She visited an independent bookstore, Books on the Square, shortly after touching down. Here you see her with former Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo (C), now the Commerce Secretary, and current Governor Dan McKee.
More about the visit from the Providence Daily Dose:
The store had posted an “invitation” to the vice-president earlier today on their Facebook page, with a photo of their Kamala display (see below), but they had no idea that she would actually be coming. Apparently a Secret Service advance team had been scoping the place out over the last two weeks. Just prior to today’s visit they combed all through the building. They checked the doors, the upstairs, and the basement, but store manager Jennifer Kandarian reassures us, “They did not go through my drawers.”
Here is the bookstore’s Instagram post with the same message as the Facebook post.
Below, the Vice President with Governor McKee and store manager Jennifer Kandarian (C).
Ms. Harris waves at a little one.
And from Books on the Square:
Thanks to Secretary Gina Raimondo for bringing VP Kamala Harris to Books on the Square, and for saying, “This is my neighborhood store. The best place ever.” We really appreciate your recommendation and thanks for putting the spotlight on local, independent businesses!
If you’re wondering, here is what the VP bought from us: Simply Julia: 110 Easy Recipes for Healthy Comfort Food by Julia Turshen, Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, The Topeka School by Ben Lerner, and The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. Happy reading, VP!
A quick video of the Vice President sharing her purchases.
The Vice President then visited the Social Enterprise Greenhouse, where she heard “speed pitches” from socially focused Rhode Island entrepreneurs. From left to right: US Rep Jim Langevin; US Senator Sheldon Whitehouse; the Vice President; US Senator Jim Reed; Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.
Another view as the Vice President speaks to Rep. Jim Langevin.
The Vice President and Commerce Secretary also took part in a roundtable.
They heard from women small business owners about the impacts of the pandemic on their endeavors.
Vice President was in her custom suit by Sergio Hudson and the Pleated Silk-Blend Blouse ($595) from the Michael Kors Collection line.
May 6th the Vice President met with voting rights and civil rights leaders “to discuss the critical importance of protecting the right to vote.”
She wore a new grey suit and pale pink top that I have not yet identified. The jacket features wide, notched lapels and the sweater appears to have a ribbed neckline.
She also taped a Mother’s Day message on the 6th.
Friday, May 7, the Vice President met virtually with Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
It looks like she wore more Altuzarra, her Fenice jacket and coordinating trousers. My guess is that Ms. Harris was in the Serge Trouser, but it’s not possible to know for sure from the one photo released by the White House.
From what I could see, Ms. Harris wore her Manolo Blahnik Lisa almond-toe heels most days this week. (Shown below when worn at another engagement.)
Each day this week the Vice President wore her Irene Neuwirth Pearl Link Necklace and unidentified mabé pearl earrings with the gold border. (The necklace shown below is a single strand version of the necklace worn by Ms. Harris and the earrings are shown as worn on previous occasions.)
