FOOTWEAR: Manolo Blahnik

The Vice President-elect’s wardrobe of Manolo Blahnik styles is substantial. Below are descriptions and photos of designs Ms. Harris wears; to see images of her wearing the shoes, view this post for more photos and details. If the product is available I will include a link to it, but many of the styles are no longer offered, or not in the same configuration (color, fabric, heel height) as those worn by Ms. Harris.

BASICS

Among the more ‘basic’ styles she wears, the Lisa in Black Leather ($665). The Lisa is a classic point-toe style available in different heel heights; in the photo below, Ms. Harris wore the 70mm (2.75″) heel. She also wears the black leather Lisa in a slightly higher heel, the 90mm style (about 3.5″).

The Lisa was also offered with an almond toe, seen on the Vice President-elect at LAX in March 2016.

Ms. Harris is often seen in the Lisa 70mm in tan leather. Below right, the shoe as worn at an August 2019 campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa.

A style similar to the Lisa, the BB, is a classic for the brand and another go-to for Ms. Harris. The Vice President-elect wears the BB in several colors and finishes, including this Black Patent 105mm style ($665).

Here is a closer look at the point-toe style in patent with the 70mm heel.

Ms. Harris has worn the ‘BB 105’ in grey patent leather many times.

Vice President Harris also wears the BB 70mm in black leather.

Another style worn by the VPE, the Foka, similar to the Lisa, but with an almond toe.

‘ZIPPIER STYLES’

The ‘Campari’ Cap-Toe Pump (no longer available) was seen at a May 2015 event for her stepdaughter’s birthday. It is a classic Mary Jane with a point-toe design.

Additional two-color styles worn by Ms. Harris: the ‘Trova’ ($815, no longer available), with a 4″ heel, adjustable ankle strap, and distinctive metallic silver toe. Below right, the ‘Pretati’ in black patent with white trim on a 3.5″ heel.

Additional black patent styles seen on the Vice President-elect, the Butterfly Cutout style (left), with a softly sculpted heel and cutout detailing over the toe box. Below right, the Black Patent Bow Buckle Pump.

When visiting a gallery with Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority sisters at Howard University, her alma mater, Ms. Harris appeared to be wearing the brand’s Black Patent D’Orsay Pumps. The shoe features a classic D’Orsay design, with the vamp cut away on both the inside and outside of the shoes, showing the foot’s arch. This particular style features pony hair detailing on the toe box.

BOOTS

Ms. Harris appears to own at least two pairs of Manolo Blahnik boots, the Dildi 70mm style in Tan Nappa Leather ($298, originally $995) and Black Nappa Leather. The pull-on Chelsea-style boots have a point-toe, elastic inserts, back pull tab, and a 2.75″ heel.
